THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

Syed Abdullah
Imam.

Most people call me Syed.
I’m interested in the things that don’t fit neatly in one subject.

A little context.

I study Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of North Texas, where I expect to graduate in May 2027. My work moves between software engineering, machine learning, robotics, and immersive research.

At Ayoka Systems, I built production software with PHP and Laravel and worked with Docker and Kubernetes. At xREZ Art + Science Lab, I work with Unity, real time EEG streams, and adaptive AR and VR experiences.

My robotics research at UNT explores autonomous navigation for Boston Dynamics Spot using LiDAR and SLAM. I also build Python models and data pipelines for the UNT Student Investment Group, supporting research for a $1.5M portfolio.

Beyond the technical work, I write about music, art, mathematics, AI, work, and money. I like questions that make my first answer feel less comfortable.
